Policy and Procedure Document for Tributary Studio – Since 2003

If you chose to hire Summer Street Productions  - you will be expected to sign this copy beforehand.

Booking & Payments:

Summer Street Productions always encourages potential Clients to come and visit our Facility. We usually will schedule a 30-minute visit to see the studio and ask any questions that you may have.

Summer Street Productions recommends booking studio session dates a minimum of thirty (30) days in advance. A minimum deposit for 50% shall be required at the time of booking before any session dates are guaranteed. You can bring your payment upon arrival on your scheduled date – but we prefer a deposit to be made in advance. Any cancellations or reschedules must be received no later than 48 hours before the booked session date or deposit may be forfeited. The client agrees to pay Summer Street Productions the rate specified or quoted. Hourly sessions are billed as a minimum of 2 hours, and then in 30-minute increments thereafter. Day rate or Flat rate projects are billed in each applicable increment. Charges do not include the cost of any additional media (CD, DVD, tapes, hard drives, etc.) including backup / archival media. Payment in full is required at the end of a session. The session clock begins at the scheduled session start time – if you are late then you are still expected to pay from the scheduled start time – not when you arrive.  In some cases, Summer Street Productions may accommodate early arrivals; the session start clock will be adjusted to reflect actual start times.

Studio musicians:

Musicians that have been hired for your project will need to be paid at the end of the production as well. If there are any changes thereafter, the studio musician will expect to be reimbursed for their time.  This can be as much as the initial cost already incurred or billed hourly. If you choose to not be present during the initial production (which we highly recommend to avoid added studio musicians fees), and you do not like the direction that was taken, then any and all changes will be billed at $85 per hour for the studio time and additionally the studio musician will be paid again for their time. No media or recordings will be released by Studio to Client until outstanding monies due are received. We are grateful for the very talented musicians that work for our studio, and we want to protect them and honor their time and talent.
